Hefenträger
Johannes Hefentreger , also called Trygophorus (born about 1497 with Fritzlar, † June 3rd, 1542 in Bad Wildungen), theologist Lutheran.
Its life
Hefentreger is originating in a pious family. It began its studies in 1516 with Erfurt. In 1521 it was devoted priest and obtained the load of confessor in a cloister of his birthplace. The reading of the texts of Luther led it to better knowing the Gospel. The marriage consolidated its conviction. After a rather long time it continued its activities with Waldeck. The count Philippe made it come then to Bad Wildungen from where it could organize the Réforme of all the area of Waldeck. It is there that it was particularly effective. To consolidate the Reform it wrote the theses of Bad Wildungen, intended to replace the principles of the church, it wrote a handbook of catechism and a new missal. After its early disappearance it is his/her son who told his life. The Reform with Waldeck was well anchored and was not modified.
