Hefei

Hefei (合肥; Pinyin: Héféi) is a city of the center of the province of the Anhui in China. One speaks the Mandarin there.

History

The battle of Hefei 215

Following the request for Liu EIB, Sun Quan, king of the Wu, carry out its army on Hefei, fortified town belonging to the Wei.

The defense of Hefei is carried out by Zhang Liao and Li Dian for outside and Yue Jin for the interior of the city. Strategy carried out by this army of: 6000 men against that of Wu made up of: 100000 men consists in making cross a bridge by this army then to destroy it to isolate and cut the way of the retirement.

With this intention, Yue Jin pretends the fold, then once isolated the units from Li Dian and Zhang Liao emerged to take out of vice the army of Wu and thus the army of Wei managed to push back that of Wu. King Sun Quan escaped from accuracy from death, because it was encircled by Zhang Liao. Isolated from its army, it was saved by a soldier who offered his horse to him, which enabled him to jump on the opposite bank and to calmly observe the rout of its army. During the battle of the reinforcements arrived for the Wu via the general Gan Ning but that did not make it possible the Wu to carry it.

Historically it is known that the army of Wu suffered from disease, which facilitated the task of the defenders of Hefei.

It is told that the children of Wu cried in the name of Zhang Liao, regarding it as a monster.

This battle gained so much by the strategy than by the attacks flashes of Zhang Liao shows its superiority and justifies its rank of chief of the 5 generals of Wei.

Modern time

It was the theater of a walk of opposition to spring 1989.

Climate

The average temperatures for the town of Hefei go from +2,4°C for the coldest month to +28,1°C for the hottest month, with an annual average of +15,7°C, and the Pluviométrie is there of 988,7 mm (figures stopped in 1990).

the county of Changfeng - 长丰县 Chángfēng Xiàn ;
the county of Feidong - 肥东县 Féidōng Xiàn ;
the county of Feixi - 肥西县 Féixī Xiàn .
