Biography

It enters in 1923 to the Ecole of Beautiful arts of Paris. It joined from 1934 the artists of the gallery Rene Breteau who gather around the " group; Témoignage": Moal, Etienne Martin, Manessier, Bertholle, Jeanneret… Hector de Pétigny exposes with the group to New York in 1939. One regularly finds it with the Salon of Independent the until 1948.

Hector de Pétigny starts in 1948 to answer the orders of the Historic buildings in Aisne. It carries out then new the Vitraux high windows of the chorus of the basilica of Saint-Quentin

He is the author of several ways of crosses painted or carved which are visible with Coucy-the-Castle-Auffrique, with Marle and Vorges.
