Hector Berthelot (1842 - 1895) was a Journaliste, a caricaturist and a Humoriste Québécois of the 19th century.
Berthelot starts its career by publishing in the Saw , a humorous review of Quebec. It founds and publishes in the Duck , newspaper satirical of Montreal.
It was called the Père Ladébauche , starting from November 9th, 1878.
Its name is related to the history of the Cartoon to the Canada, because it develops a prototype of drawing with bubbles as of on December 22nd, 1883.
It contributes to spread the legend of Charles Thibault, caricaturing it with large feet. Berthelot is the author of the Mystères of Montreal , a Social novel . It also published the good old day .
Its biography was written by liberal the Henriette Tassé. The journalist Leon Trépanier also published on his life.
