Heavy truck
A heavy truck is a road Véhicule of more than 3,5 tons, affected either with the Transport of Marchandise S (Camion, Semi-remorque, Road train), or with the transport of people (Autobus, Autocar, Trolleybus).
The heavy truck is distinguished from the Light vehicle on the technical plan (load with the axle definitely more important, dimensions…) but also on the administrative level. Its control requires a specific allowed and an adapted formation. Moreover, the circulation of the heavy trucks is subjected to a particular, strict regulation in particular with regard to times of control. It is obligatorily equipped with a Chronotachygraphe which raises these times and practiced speeds.
