Headlights of the La Rochelle

Several headlights mark out the entries of the ports of La Rochelle (Old man-Port, Tiny the).

  • the headlight of the End of the world is médiatisé the most.

    • It is the counterpart of the headlight resulting from a novel of Jules Verne: the Headlight of the end of the world .
    • It is located at the point of Tiny the , vis-a-vis the beach.
  • the tower of Richelieu

    • This tower is of red color.
    • It is located at the entry of the channel of access to the port of Tiny and of the Old man-Port.
  • headlights of the Old man-Port

Two headlights mark out the axis of the channel:
  • the first, red lantern with in red lower parts three squares painted, is located near to the Saint Nicolas's Day tower (largest of the two towers of the La Rochelle);
  • and the “Headlight of the Quay Valin”, also called the “White headlight” (19th century).
