It is on the commune of Cerbère, last commune of the Vermilion Côte in a natural landscape which in fact a halt appreciated on the hiking trail.

History

This construction was undertaken to replace the old fire of the wearing of Cerberus removed in 1980. It is the work of the Parisian cabinet of architecture Lucien Guerra. The site of very high cliffs of the course Cerbère was selected, but it was necessary to exclude any power supply by air line not to denature the landscape.

Current headlight

In 1982 this modern headlight is completed and fed by solar panels. It is a gray stone tower with a high red.
