Headlight of the Cross

The Phare of the Cross is located in the mouth of the Trieux, east coast of the channel, between the island of Bréhat and Lézardrieux, in the Coast-with Armor.

History

A first headlight was built between 1865 and 1867. It was a cylindrical tower of 13 m with a small coupled tower containing the staircase. In 1944, the upper part is destroyed by the German army.

Current headlight

In 1949, it is restored with identical, and carries a white fire to screenings/4s. It is painted in white on the side of the sea. The crenels are painted in red.
