Headlight of Boulogne
The current Headlight of Boulogne-sur-Mer, Pas-de-Calais is a headlight at sea being in end of the Carnot pier on old fortifications. The cylindrical tower is in white, and green smooth masonry in its top.
It is not accessible any more to the public since the installation of the wind at the beginning of pier.
History
There was an ancient headlight, the Tour of Order, or Tour of Odre , or Tour Caligula , Roman headlight set up by Caligula to prepare the invasion of England.
This headlight dominated the port. It collapsed in 1644.
