Head office of the administration and the public office
The Head office of the administration and the public office (DGAFP), just like ENA, was created by the ordinance of October 9th, 1945 by the Provisional government of the French Republic, within the framework of the large wave of modernization of the French administration which proceeded with the release.
Service of the French Prime Minister placed at the disposal of the minister in charge for the public office, the DGAFP is in charge of the policy statuary of the public office (development and modification of the " code travail" civils servant), interdepartmental social dialog (wages policy, evolutions statutory, industrial relations policy) as well as coordination and animation of the policy of human stock management of the various ministries. She exerts functions of " DRH groupe" public office and makes sure of coordination and statutory coherence between the 3 public office: State, territorial and hospital.
The DGAFP ensures the supervision of the National school of administration (ENA) and of the regional Instituts of administration (WILL GO).
The DGAFP is installed behind the Hotel Matignon, residence of the French Prime Minister. Its buildings are located in the hotel of Cassini located 32, rue de Babylone in Paris 07. Famous the " room of Chapelle" accommodate to them (long) negotiation sessions with the representatives of the trade-union organizations of civils servant.
