Head One

Head ( Gegen die Wand ) is a German film carried out by Fatih Akin, left in 2004. This film was rewarded by a Ours for gold to the Festival for Berlin 2004.

Synopsis

Cahit, a German of Turkish origin, post- Punk and désœuvré quadragénaire, does not succeed in forgetting the death of his wife. Since years it sinks in alcohol and the depression. Following an suicide attempt, it is found at the hospital, where an young woman Sibel, she also of Turkish origin, also has just made an suicide attempt to escape the pressure from her father. By blackmail, it succeeds in convincing Cahit to marry it to extract it from its family without it being an engagement of heart or body. Sibel is young person, free, wants to live its life fully, and to meet men. What it does. Cahit, begins again however, to the sides of Sibel, taste to the life and gradually fall in love with it. Sibel, in the same way starts to look at her official husband differently. Following an argument in a bar, and insults on its wife, Cahit keep silent by accident a man. He is imprisoned and Sibel and its family are dishonoured. She flees in Turkey to escape family revenge, while swearing in Cahit to remain to him faithful. After a few years Cahit leaves prison and wants to find Sibel, whose memory enabled him to pass the test. It leaves for Turkey, and succeeds in joining it. However Sibel with remade its life, and now has a four year old little girl.
