Comments

The credits are an adaptation of the Toccata and Fugue in minor D of Jean-Sebastien Bach by the Japanese type-setter Yasuo Sugiyama

This series was a great success which encouraged Albert Barillé to produce other series of the same kind and with the same recurring characters.

The episodes were republished in DVD by Sony Music Entertainment France in 2000 (6 DVD of 4 or 5 episodes, sometimes available out of box of 2 DVD)

It is often reproached the series of cartoon its vision very manichéenne of the History with recurring presonnages good or bad. With a catch of part for the heroes who represent the good influenced by some Ethnocentrisme (europeanocentrism). Also, the Vulgarisation of the historical facts leads to sometimes serious simplifications (such as the attribution of certain great discoveries of Humanity to the Hasard). Also, the mixture of fiction and history is sometimes diverting. The many and not developed references are often inaccessible for young people (references to the book the Origin of the species of Charles Darwin).
