Hazembourg
Hazembourg is a common French, located in the department of the the Moselle and the basin of life of the Moselle-is.
Geography
History
The village suffers seriously from the Thirty Year old Guerre at the 17th century, as a document of attests it 1637 and due to the lord of the manor of Albestroff: “ With Überkinger, Wentzwiller, Steinbach, Schweix, Altviller, Hazembourg and Kirviller has not resided anybody for one year, the villages being abandoned. ”But the storm passed, with the passing of years, the village is repopulated, until recovering a real existence, in particular by the construction of a church. This one is set up in 1857, act highly symbolic system for the last catholic village before the Protestant Alsace .
Although belonging incontestably to the German-speaking sector, the commune regularly sees passing its instruments, in particular authenticated, in French language, without one being able to find explanation to this practice.
