Haze

Synopsis

2048, the governments delegate from now on all military operations to Private Military Corporations (CMP), whose world leader is Mantel Global Industries. Their soldiers use last technologies, but also Nectar, a drug which gears down their performances.

You have just joined Mantel and your first combat carries out you in a country torn by the war, where you will have to fight The Promised Hand, a rebellious faction. Nothing of surprising with the first access, but the events take a strange turning quickly…

Nectar

The originality of the play lies in the use of Nectar, indeed the soldiers of Mantel uses this product to multiply by ten their capacities: to go more quickly, to draw more precisely, to be stronger. For example, with Nectar it is easier to detect enemies in a dense vegetation because they are locatable by a luminous halation.

If the player misuses nectar, a kind of overdose to the disastrous consequences starts, its vision will be disturbed and it becomes impossible to distinguish its fellow-members. In this situation if the player aims another character, friend or enemy, its weapon makes fire automatically. The overdose of nectar can also arrive at the one of your fellow-members, the player must then decide to eliminate it or to hide during the duration of the effect (cf this video).

Mode Co-COp

In Ubidays the developers revealed that the play would be entirely playable in Co-operation (2 on the same console or to 4 players on line). During the demonstrations, one could see 4 developers playing in Co-COp, including at the time of a phase in the vehicle in a kind of Buggy.
