Haydée Santamaria

Haydée Santamaría Cuadrado (born in 1922 and dead on July 28th 1980) is one will guérillera and woman cuban Révolutionnaire .

She takes part in the attack of the Caserne of Moncada to Santiago of Cuba on July 26th, 1953. Married to Armando Binder Dávalos, member of the Central committee of the Communist party of Cuba and ex-minister of the Culture.

It is founder-director of the Maison of Americas. Member of the National management of the Movement of July 26th during the war against the batistans. It takes part in the first drafting and edition of the clandestine book of Fidel Castro, the historia me absolverá ( the history will forgive me ).

Haydée Santamaría commits suicide in July 1980.
