Hawaii belongs to division Western Athletic Conference but the male team of volley ball and the female ones of water polo play in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.

The female teams are called " The Wahine" or " The Wahines" but this term is not appropriate for some hawaiiens which militate in favor of the " term; Na Wahine".
