Hautza

The Hautza /hauts ̪a/, 1306 m, is a top of the Basque Country Spanish overhanging by the west Saint-Etienne-with-Baïgorry in the Low-Navarre province of .

Etymology

Hautz is old a Oronyme of this area. One it retouve in the names Ixtauz ( Aitz-hautz ) and Hauzkoa, its diminutive.

Geography

Hautza is the culminating point of the frontier and watershed separating the valleys from the Baztan Baïgorry. The top of this mount " shunté" by the layout of the border, is located in Spain.
