Hautefort

Hautefort (in Occitan Autafòrt ) is a common French, located in the department of the the Dordogne and the area Aquitaine.

Geography

The commune of Hautefort is made up of two distinct boroughs: Saint Agnan in the valley and Hautefort on the hill dominated by the castle. The commune from now on is attached administratively to the sector known as of “Périgord Noir” (sector of Sarlat Canéda).

Located at approximately 70 kilometers of Limoges, 45 kilometers of Périgueux and 8 kilometers of Tourtoirac, Hautefort causes more and more the interest of the tourists thanks to his castle and to the charm of its lanes and buildings in old stones typically périgourdines.

Hautefort is from now on accessible by a89 highway (exchanging of Bachellerie) then by Secondary road 704 in direction from Yreix Saint the Pole and Limoges.
