Biography

Born with Ueno, Tokyo, in September 1911, he was the second of a family of nine brothers. He had difficulty in speak, problem which was related to the dystrophy. Left free its time for health reason, it spent its childhood to read books of all kinds. In 1923, twelve years, it attended with the great earthquake of Tokyo. Of instinct, it posed the hand on the wounded people and much of them cured. This experiment decided it to become healer.

He studied by itself various methods of cure, Eastern and Western, and at fifteen years he opened in Iriya a dojo where he based the group Shizen kenku hojikai on the base of Katsugen Undo (the regenerating Movement) and of yuki. In seventeen years, it published Zenseikun where it says that to live in good health is a natural state. Following that, it started to spread the idea “to live fully”.

He was member of the board of directors of the Association of the Japanese Healers and took part in the foundation of the Great Union of the Japanese Healers. He developed his method, Seitai soho, which treats in a specific way the various diseases. In 1947, it created Seitai Kyokai, group having vocation to teach the art of the cure. In the Fifties, it established its theory concerning the relation between the posture (body practices) and the personality.

During this same period, it started to think that, rather than to cure the diseases, one was to seek a balance which makes emerge the interior force of car-cure which is of each one of us. It thus decided to cease curing the people. In 1956 it created a sporting organization recognized by the Minister of education where teaching aimed at “being held upright all alone” i.e. not to be dependant on something of outside.

In addition to direct teaching to the members of the foundation, it gave also conferences in all Japan to teach Katsugen Undo (the regenerating Movement) and yukiho. Its teaching related to the body practices, the unit body-heart-mental, the subconscious, the education of the children. It also left many works.

He was large music lover of all kinds and liked particularly that of Casals. He and his wife Akiko (1916-2004) had four children. It is deceased in 1976 at sixty-four years in its house of Tokyo, surrounded by its family.
