Hartmann V of Kibourg

Hartmann V of Kibourg (the Young person) (born towards 1229, dead the September 3rd 1263) was a member of the dynasty of Kibourg whose stronghold was based in the area of Winterthour. He was the nephew of Hartmann IV of Kibourg which made build convents in the oriental party of Switzerland.

Biography

About the middle of 13th century, Hartmann V became the heir to part of the territories of the family and it extended its grounds to the west of the Reuss until Berthoud and to the south in direction of Zoug and from the north of the Lac of the Four-Cantons.

To its death, most of its goods returned to his/her Anne daughter and Rodolphe de Habsbourg which succeeds in making alliances with the remainder of the Kibourg family. His/her uncle died one year later, thus extinguishing the line of Kibourg whose territories and castle passed in hand hasbourgeoise.
