Harry is unaware of this alarming warning and is given to turn over to the school. One learns at the same time that it is Dobby which has in fact subtilized the mail of Harry so that this one thinks that it does not have any more friends and that it decides not to go to school of full sound liking. Indicator which it will have to use the force, Dobby decides to destroy, by the use of a magic spell, pudding which the aunt Pétunia made for the dinner which joins together large potential customers and her husband Vernon Dursley. Harry is sermonized by the ministry for the magic for the magic spell that Dobby used, which says to him that if it still makes use of the magic out of Poudlard it définitevement will définitevement be returned. By learning that Harry cannot exert magic out of the school, Dursleys - which was afraid of the capacities of Harry - decide to lock up the books as well as the rod of Harry in a wall cupboard; and grids with its window pose; thus making him a quasi-prisoner.
A few days later, Fred, George and Ron come to deliver it with a Ford Anglia which them father bewitched so that it flies. After an end of summer joke together in the house of Weasley, they go on way 9 3/4 to take the Poudlard Express train which will once again lead them to the school. Malheuresement Harry and Ron cannot pass the barrier which separates them from the quay, and are desperate. Their then the idea had just borrowed the car of the father of Ron to fly until the school, which they make… On arrival, they will cause an accident with an old Cogneur willow which will break the rod of Ron and will damage the car. This one will eject the two teenagers and will take refuge in the drill prohibited.
Heir to Serpentard
Harry is soon in the center of all the attentions, or at least of three people: The new professor de Défense against the forces of the evil, Gilderoy Lockhart (a magician liking above all), its new admiror Creevey Hake which unceasingly takes it in photograph and which begs it to have autographs, and Ginny Weasley - which is in love with him. The year turns badly when the Room of the Secrecies and D-open and that a monster - which to be able it to petrify - course the castle. According to the legend, the Room was built by Salazar Serpentard, and can be D-open only by its heir, with an aim of purging Pourdlard of the unworthy students, of those which are not thepure one (Blood-with-bourbe). Many are those which suspecter Harry will be the heir, in particular when it will illustrate itself by speaking the fourchelang (the language of the snakes), language considered to be associated with the forces with the evil and You-Know-Which .
Harry, Ron and Hermione also try them to elucidate the mystery and to find which is the heir; and for this reason they go until using Polynectar which will enable them to be disguised in Crabe and in Goyle. They do not learn anything, but Drago Malefoy the assistance - without its knowledge - in their delivering information on the Room of the Secrecies. By misfortune, the hair that Hermione thought of having taken in Millicent Bullstrode - a pupil of Serpentard - was in fact of the hairs of cat. The polynectar being only envisaged for the human transformations it acquires an aspect of cat-like and will spend several weeks before seeing reabsorbing the effects of its error. Once released from the infirmary, it studied a Newspaper which Harry shows him but does not draw large thing from it.
The Room of the Secrecies
The number of attacks increases throughout the year, and much of students find themselves petrified, of which Hermione. More serious, on a wall appear marked of blood the following inscriptions: " Its skeleton will giera " forever there; , relating to Ginny Weasley. With the assistance of Ron and Mimi Geignarde, Harry discovers the entry of the Room of the Secrecies. They oblige Gilderoy Lockhart - a professor without scruple which does not hesitate to erase the memory of people having made large things and to allot their merit - to come with them. Once inside, Lockhart subtilizes the rod of Ron and tries to throw to them the fate of amnesia Oubliettes but the rod being broken, the expected result is not reached: The ceiling collapses and locks up them in the Room, and the fate was turned over against the professor, it thus finds itself amnesic. The crumbling separates Harry de Ron and from the professor.
Harry thus continues in direction of the Room and discovers there the inanimate body of Ginny Weasley, and an young man called Tom Jedusor who claims to be only one to remember. The young man teaches him that under its orders, Ginny opened the Room of the Secrecies. Voldemort, whose true name is Tom Elvis Jedusor (annagramme of " I am Voldemort"), part of its heart in an enchanted newspaper left, so that one day is continued the task which it had begun fifty years earlier: Débarasser de Poudlard Blood-of-bourbe.
The memory of Tom Jedusor becomes increasingly powerful as Ginny is dying, and it tries to kill Harry while ordering with the Basilic (the monster responsible for the petrification of many students) to kill it. But at this time there, the phoenix of Dumbledore, Fumseck, arrive while bringing the Choixpeau Magique from where Harry leaves the sword Godric Gryffondor. Fumseck melts on the basil and bursts the eyes to him (which are used to him to kill people of a simple glance, or at best, them to petrify), and Harry kills it thanks to the sword. In by doing this, it is made bite by the snake, and Jedusor teaches him that it soon will die because of venom. During this discussion with Jedusor, Harry includes/understands what binds the memory of Tom with this newspaper, and undertakes to destroy this last with one of the hooks of the snake. The memory of Tom Jedusor dies out thus. Fumseck, Harry indicator to suffer comes to cure it with its tears (the tears of a phoenix have a strong capacity healer), and Ginny recovers gently.
Finality
Harry realizes that it is Lucius Malefoy, the father of Drago Malefoy, which slipped the newspaper of Jedusor into the cauldron of Ginny when they met it in a bookseller of the Short cut, but it is unable to prove it. Dobby reveals to him that he is the servant of Malefoy, and knowing their bad acts, had tried to protect Harry lasting the year. To thank it, Harry hiding place one of its socks in the newspaper and gives it to Lucius which gives it itself to its servant without realizing trickery. Dobby is found free, indeed to release an elf of house of the constraint it is necessary to offer a clothing to him, thing which Lucius Malefoy makes by giving the newspaper to Dobby. Dobby then declares in Harry that it will be eternally grateful to him and protects it from an attempt at reprisals on behalf of Lucius.
At the end of the volume, Dumbledore reassures Harry, by saying to him that it indeed was allowed in the good house and that its place is in Gryffondor and not in Serpentard. Dumbledore explains to him why our choices do what we are, and proves to him by explaining to him that only a Gryffondor truth could have carried the sword of Godric.
