Harry Church Oberholser

Harry Church Oberholser (June 25th 1870 - December 25th, 1963) was a American Ornithologue.

He initially worked for the “ United States Bureau off Biological Survey ” become the “ United States Fish and Wildlife Service ” of 1895 to 1941, as an ornithologist then as biologist, and finally as director.

He wrote many books and articles on the birds of America, Africa and Asia. Oberholser is the author of the family of the Hémiprocnidés, for the 4 arboricolous trip hammers which it thus distinguished from the other species of Apodidés.
