Castle of Haroué: built between 1720 and 1732 by German Boffrand for the prince Marc de Beauvau-Craon, Viceroy of Tuscan, Constable of Lorraine. In a surprising way, the architect had to integrate in his plans the four turns and the ditches of the old medieval castle of François de Bassompierre. Decoration was mainly entrusted to Lorraine artists: Jean Lamour (1698 - 1771) for the grids, the balconies, and the slope of staircase, Pillement (1698 - 1771) for the decoration painted of one of the turns, Barthelemy Guibal (1699 - 1757), sculptor of the fountains of the Place Stanislas with Nancy for the statuary. The formal garden was drawn by the decorator Emilio Terry.
