Harmine

The harmine as well as the Harmaline is a vegetable Alcaloïde group of the Harmane S. It comes in particular from the plants of the kind Banisteriopsis east has serotoninergic properties of antagonists. Combined with the Diméthyltryptamine, it confers on the Ayahuasca its properties Hallucinogène S.

The harmine is also the main thing Alcaloïde Peganum Harmala a plant of the family of the Zygophyllaceae. It is starting from this species that it was insulated in 1841.
