Harley-Davidson XR 1000

XR 1000 is a model of Motocyclette of the American manufacturer Harley-Davidson.

In 1983, Harley-Davidson, eager to start again the mark before the launching of its engine evolution loan to start production, decide, following the requests repeated since many years by the users, to market a sporting model derived from the famous XR 750, the XR 1000.

The XR 1000 with the characteristic to be assembled on the basis of casing new, which will be those of the future evolutions sporsters " all aluminum" , to be equipped with cast iron cylinders shorter than those of the " 1000 fonte" in current production, and cylinder heads accommodating each one a carburettor.
