Hari Rud

The Rudkhaneh-ye Hari Rud (sometimes called Harirud or Hari Rud ) is a Fleuve which takes its source in the mountains of the central Afghanistan and continues its course in Iran and with the Turkménistan. It disappears by exhaustion in the south from the Désert from Karakoum (1  approximately 100 km).

Rud means " rivière" in Farsi.

In Turkménistan, one calls it Tejen or Rivière Tedzhen and it passes close to the town of Tedzhen or Tejen. In Latin, one called it Arius .
