Hargeville
Hargeville is a common French, located in the department of the Yvelines and the area Île-de-France, to approximately 12 km in the south-east of Mantes-the-Pretty.
Its inhabitants is called the Hargevillois .
Geography
The commune of Hargeville is on the plate of the Mantois, at a general altitude of approximately 145 m, inclined of the south towards north. The primarily rural territory (94%), devoted to the field crop, is stripped except the southern fringe in edge of the secondary road 11, including the park of the castle, which is wooded.The communes bordering are Jumeauville in the North-East, Goupillières in south-east, Saint-Martin-of-Fields in the south, Arnouville-lès-Mantes in the North-West and Goussonville in north.
The habitat, made up of individual dwellings, is grouped in the borough, is located in the southern part of the commune.
The commune is connected to the common neighbors by several secondary roads, in particular RD 11 which connects Thoiry to Septeuil.
History
On the administrative level, the commune is attached to the Canton of Guerville since 1968. Previously it depended on that of Houdan until 1962, then of that of Mantes-the-Pretty.
