Harcourt is a common French, located in the department of the the Eure and the area High-Normandy.
Geography
History
The name of the village would come from a chief Viking companion of Rollon (Hrôlfr), Jarl Hariulf (Hariôlfr), from where Harcourt, of Latin Hariulfi Curtis .
It is the stronghold of origin of the ducal family of Harcourt, one of the most former noble families of France (second half of the 10th century).
