Harceliciel

A harceliciel , software badgering or agaciel is a Logiciel (generally a Partagiciel) which frequently reminds the user that it employs of it a copy not recorded, that it must enter and regulate the amount of the license to profit from now on from this one, after one period of authorized free test. With each launching or closing of the software, or sometimes even during his use, one is disturbed or delayed by messages which are posted constantly (form of harassing), or by screens of recall ( nagscreens in English) inviting to record the product.

The harceliciel term, portemanteau word resulting from the contraction To badger and software, were proposed by the Office of the French language like equivalent of the English terms nagware and hassleware . The term agaciel , of oral source, corresponds at the end English annoyware (to annoy = to aggravate, to importune) and makes an assessment a little less severe on the software in question. As for the English term guiltware , it highlights the idea of “culpability” then being able to be felt by the user who benefits from a partagiciel not recorded.
