Happy Meal

The Happy Meal ( Merry feast ) is a small Alimentaire for Enfant S sold by the chain of Fast-food McDonald's since June 1979.

Presentation

Happy Meal is presented in a general way in a whimsical box in paperboard or in a paper sachet, and is generally accompanied by a Jouet set of themes distributed in limited edition.

First Happy Meal appeared in 1979 with for topic Circus Wagon Happy Meal composed of simple a Hamburger or Cheeseburger, of Frite S, a cookie and a Boisson. At the time, its price was of 1$ and contained several small accessories for Enfant S (pencils, gum, etc).

Today, Happy Meal is often vector of the promotion of the exit of a Film with a Jouet in connection with this last. The very first partnership with a Film took place in December 1979 with the promotion of Star Trek: The Motion Picture. For reasons of universality of its mark, McDonald's uses the " term now; Happy Meal" in all the Country whatever the local Language.
