Happy Gilmore is an American film of Dennis Dugan left in 1996.

Synopsis

Happy Gilmore (Adam Sandler), a man who adores hockey more than its own life which it forsakes, must join together the sum of US$270 000 to save the house of his/her grandmother who will be sold with the biddings because she had not paid her taxes for one decade. While betting with a remover, it realizes that it has a swing “of the tonnère” and which it could make several bets on his swing and gain much money. While going in a ground of practice to widen its ground of bets, it is pointed out by a ex-professional of the golf: Chubbs Peterson (Carl Weathers, known for the character of Apollo Creed in the series of Rocky). This last makes him understand that its blow of golf could insert it in the circuit of the PGA. While having the strangest behavior that all the experts had been able to see before, it succeeds in gaining a competition of district which made it enter on the professional circuit. During all the time that it piles up the money necessary to the repurchase of the house of his grandmother, its adversary, talented Shooter McGavin (Christopher McDonald), piles up the first places. This last is however very jealous of the interest carried with Happy. It thus launches out in chicaneries to make it return circuit, which it makes a success of partly. In fact it got a suspension rather to him. In a discution with the president of the circuit Doug Thompson (Dugan Refusals) in connection with its suspension, Happy lets foresee the enchêre house of his/her grandmother, which got an little idea with Shooter. This last bought the house with the biddings. He proposed a market however has Happy: “Leaves the circuit and the house is with you”. Happy was tried one moment but proposed its last bet rather: if it gains the tournament of the players, it recovers the house and Shooter gains, it leaves the professional circuit. Happy, which had to at the pithead leave Chubbs since the tournament amateur which had it to enter the PGA, decided to visit him small, question of learning with really playing golf. Happy carries out all along the tournament until weak engaged by shooter sinks to him inside with its vehicle (a Volkswagen beatle yellow wee): it is the beginning of the descent into Hell. It loses its advance and is made exceed by Shooter. Thereafter, the grandmother comes to give again confidence to him. It goes up the slope and gains the tournament, the house and the jacket gilded of gaining tournament.
