Hapoel Hamizrahi
Hapoel Hamizrahi ( הפועלהמזרחי ) is an association of religious workmen Sioniste S created in 1922 for the period of Pessah, and which is fixed for goal to live physical work, in a spirit of Torah and of tradition.
The organization is close to the current religious Zionist incarnated by the Mizrahi. Its members share overall the ideology Zionist nun of Mizrahi, but in there integral of the ideas come from the left Zionist, auquelles the more preserving Mizrahi did not adhere.
Hapoel Hamizrahi collaborates with many other associations Zionists, such as the Bneï-Akiva or Hahaloutz Hamizrahi.
Of face with their teaching, social and economic activities, the members of Hapoel Hamizrahi also invest themselves in the efforts of establishment, and this on all the surface of the Ground of Israel.
In 1927, they found their first agricultural establishment, Sdé-Yaakov in the Vallée of Jezreel. During the period of the bloody riots, Hapoel Hamizrahi creates several tens of establishments (Kibboutz im, Moshav im, residences of new immigrants).
Association is in the beginning many achievements, such as community centres for pioneers, of the funds of support, the rooms of students, the institutions of assistance to the integration of the young monks and the club of sport " Elitzour ".
The Twenties at the Fifties, Hapoel Hamizrahi had unequal relations with Mizrahi, less on the left than him. With certain elections, Hapoel Hamizrahi was presented on lists distinct from Mizrahi, and thus in competition with him. The policy options makes by Hapoel Hamizrahi were more favorable to the left Zionist in particular than those of Mizrahi. The “working” ideology of Hapoel Hamizrahi was indeed rather close to that of the members of the Labor Party, even if the weight of the monk in the ideology of Hapoel Hamizrahi differentiated from it. Thus for example, in 1951, the 8,3% of the voices obtained by the religious nationalist current at the time of the elections at the second Knesset were distributed between 6,8% for Hapoel Hamizrachi and 1,5% for Mizrachi itself. The two movements arised separately.
In 1956, Hapoel Hamizrahi amalgamates with Mizrahi, and forms with this one the Religious Mafdal, or National Party (PNR).
In 2006, there are 6 religious kibbutzes resulting from old Hapoel Hamizrahi.
