Hanshu

The Hanshu or Book of Han (Chinese: 漢書/汉书; pinyin: Hànshū) is a traditional book of Chinese history which covers the history of the Western Han of -206 with 25. It is called also sometimes Livre of Han former to distinguish it from the Livre of Han posterior which covers the history of Han Eastern (25-220).

With its death, Round of applause Gu, the oldest son of Round of applause Biao, continued to work with the work which ends up reaching 100 volumes, including sections on the Droit, the Science S, the Géographie and the Littérature. His/her daughter Ban Zhao finished the Livre in 111, nineteen years after the imprisonment of her father. She wrote also minor volumes of Chronologie (vol. 13-20) and of Astronomie (vol. 26). With the manner of the historical Memories of Sima Qian, Zhang Qian, a famous Chinese general to have travelled far towards the Occident, is the primary source of the cultural and socio-economic data on the Western borders of China (vol. 96).
