Hans Werner Richter

Hans Werner Richter (* November 12th 1908 with Bansin on Usedom; † March 23rd 1993 with Munich) was a German writer .

Richter is more known like spiritual adviser founder, and 3eminence grise of the Groupe 47 (one of most important the grouping of German writers of the Après-guerre, than by its own works.

Life

The father of Hans Werner Richter was fishing in the village of fishermen of Bansin on Usedom. At 16 years, it follows a training of three year old bookseller to Swinemünde (today the Polish part of Usedom); he worked then like bookseller assistance with Berlin.

Hans Werner Richter was during two years member of KPD (1930-32). He recognizes early the fate of the movement Nazi, whereas he is pilot of a procession of the brown shirts in 1933 with Berlin. Consequently it tries to emigrate with Paris with his friend. But this attempt fails for financial reasons, Richter returns to Berlin and takes again its activity of bookseller and reader. In 1940 it is sent to the military service.

Hans Werner Richter and the Group 47

Group 47 was the work of its life and its name cannot be separate about it. He is regarded by it as the only authority.
