Hans Swarowsky is a Austrian Leader , born the September 16th 1899 with Budapest and dead the September 10th 1975 with Salzburg
Biography
In addition to its activities of leader, he taught the direction of orchestra at the University of music of Vienna.Many famous leaders of the last decades followed its teaching: Claudio Abbado, Jacques Delacote, Adam and Iván Fischer, Jesús López Cobos, Zubin Mehta, Peter Schneider, Miguel Gómez-Martínez, Mario Venzago, Theodor Guschlbauer, Heinrich Schiff and Bruno Weil.
Its repertory was especially consisted of the traditional Vienneses: Haydn, Mozart, Schubert, and especially Brahms in which he was a specialist impossible to circumvent.
One of its pupils, Alfred Scholz, carried out several recordings with the Süddeutsche Philharmonie , by usurping the identity of several chiefs, among whom often Hans Swarowsky.
The tests and the conferences of Swarowsky are gathered in the collection Wahrung der Gestalt which remains a Bible for the questions of interpretation and practice of the direction of orchestra.
