Hans Christoff von Königsmarck

The count Hans Christoff von Königsmarck , of Tjust (1605 - 1663), wire of Conrad von Königsmarck and Beatrix von Blumenthal, was a soldier suédo - German, which ordered the legendary flying column of Sweden, a force which played the first parts in the strategy of Gustave II Adolphe of Sweden. He was named general-in-chief in 1640, governor-general of Bremen - Verden in 1645, private adviser of the king in 1651, and marshal in 1655. He is known mainly for his attack on Prague in 1648 which put an end to the Guerre Thirty Year old.
