Hanna Segal

Hanna Segal (1918-) is a psychoanalyst disciple of Melanie Klein.

Psychiatrist and Psychoanalyst born with Warsaw (Poland) from where it must flee in 1939, it arrives to Great Britain (via Switzerland then France). There, it finishes its studies of Medicine, and undertakes a psychoanalytical formation and an analysis with Melanie Klein of which it will become a disciple and commentatrice of work. It is known as that without its works of introduction, Klein would not have become so famous and certainly less accessible so much its writings are of a difficult access. Segal also worked on the Esthétique, the Art, the Symbolisation, the Guerre, the September 11th. It was president of British Psychoanalytical Society, and vice-president of the international psychoanalytical Association.
