Hank Bauer

Hank Bauer (July 31st 1922 with East Saint Louis, Illinois - February 9th 2007) was an American player of the major Ligues of baseball. It was right field.

Career of player

He played 1544 matches in MLB for the New York Yankees (1948 - 1959) and Kansas City Athletics (1960 - 1961). With the Yankees, Bauer gains seven world Séries (1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1956 and 1958). Between 1956 and 1958, it types at least a blow on at the time of 17 consecutive matches in series world; it is the record of the kind.

In 14 seasons in major league, Bauer counts 164 home runs, an average of .277 with the beater and 703 RBI.

It was selected three times at All Star Range (1952, 1953 and 1954).

Career of trainer

Its career of player completed, he becomes trainer for the Kansas City Athletics (1961 - 1962), Baltimore Orioles (1964 - 1968) and Oakland Athletics (1969). It gains the world Séries in 1966 with the head of Orioles.
