Hangover
The hangover is an expression which describes an side effect of the excessive absorption of Alcoholic drink. The demonstrations are the following ones: Lethargy, Thirst, nausea, stops dries, sensitivity to the noise or the light, headaches, Diarrhée or saddles atypical. There is no truly remedy. Only the regular hydration with a great quantity of water can attenuate the nuisances.
The Hypoglycemia, the Acetaldehyde (oxidation of the alcohol in the liver), the Dehydration due to the effect Diurétique of alcohol and the lack of Vitamine B12 are possible causes.
Origin of the expression
The expression to have the hangover would come because of having the dry mouth like wood after having drunk too much alcohol (Déshydratation), then would have evolved/moved to indicate the symptoms due to alcohol with the alarm clock.Other popular expressions: Cap in Zinc, cap in Lead, to hold of it good, xylocéphalie, to have the moneybox in purple wood, to have a bar across cranium, to have the cola mouth, to have badly with the hair, to listen to its hair to push, to have the helmet with bolts, to have the hair which pushes inside, to have the Tomahawk in the fool.
Prevention
The most effective method to prevent the hangover consists in not drinking alcoholic drinks. A moderate consumption can also prove to be effective.
To reduce the effects which had with an alcoholic drink excess, it is recommended to alternate soft drinks (ideally of the Eau) and alcoholic drink. Each glass having a maximum effect at the end of approximately one hour, a time spacing in order to maintain a stage is ideal, to avoid an unverifiable rise of blood alcohol content. The wines containing of the Sulfite S have notorious effects on the headache. It is thus advisable to restrict to the maximum consumption of it. To eat assistance uninterrupted considerably, if one takes care to avoid salted food too which would reinforce the feeling of thirst. The ideal is to lie down more than one hour after the last catch alcohol, to avoid the feeling of head which turns being able to involve vomiting. Some consume Sucre then to accelerate the passage of alcohol in blood. Before laying down it, it is preferable to drink a great quantity of water, which will have the advantage of fighting against the Déshydratation and of causing the alarm clock to urinate in the night. Each alarm clock is then the occasion of drinking water again. One can thus limit the hangover. Boldest will allow a Vomissement caused in order to avoid the increase in blood alcohol content by its inertia.
Attempts at remedy
The popular belief which consists in drinking the same thing that the day before is of course false. However it seems that the brain is into light Manque a few hours after the alcohol catch. A light consumption, a Beer for example, with the alarm clock can thus attenuate the headache. The following meal is ideally composed of not very fatty food. The rest is the only effective remedy. To fight against the headache, one will use Paracétamol rather that Aspirine, which would worsen the Gastrite. One can also try one “reconstituting of the liver” like citrate of Bétaïne. The best remedy consists in drinking much water to mitigate the dehydration of the organization, this also makes it possible to pass the headache.
