Hangable Bulb Car

The two EP Hangable Auto Bulb had successively left to Warp in 1995 (the October 16th and the December 11th). With this republication on CD which respects the tracklistings and the chronology of origin, interlude included/understood runs ( Bit ), plus question of passing beside these pieces of AFX. Many young fascinated creators run still afterwards of the variations of the sonority-standard of the piece titrate ( Hangable Auto Bulb ) rather than to imitate the step itself and thus to find modes of expression which are clean for them. Even if it means to smash an open door, it should be said that if the current retrospective tendency their is advantageous in terms of exposure, this arisen comes to give the metronomes per hour while showing that sonorities are not enough.

Left the bottom of the drawers of Warp, a republication CD of the maxis Hangable Auto Bulb was planned for October 2005 (the 17 and the 31). Let us recall that the maxis vinyls Hangable Auto Bulb 1 & 2 were limited respectively to 3000 and 2500 copies at the time of their exits at the end of 1995.

Hangable Car Bulb , of AFX (known also under the pseudonym of Aphex Twin or its true name, Richard D. James), is quite fabulous, single, recognizable between thousand, poetic, disturbing, perturbing, disconcerting, moving, destabilizing, all that the Electronic music can produce of better.

In fact the melodies captivate the attention initially. They reach sometimes here the quality of those of its Selected Ambient Works 85-92/Volume II ( Hangable Auto Bulb , Arched Maid Via RDJ ) and set up environments which stimulate imagination. Relative wisdom, contemplative, repetitive, anti-complex, of these melodies which are as many not compromised stars, about a lexicon Electronica in a pure and primitive state, is of a all the more immediate effect as they are offered with the grace of the synthetizer sci-fist. It is surprising to note how Aphex Twin already applied to élastifier his textures, to test of them possible whimsical resonances through obscured echoes, and to exhaust the rhythmic one, pushing towards perverse désarticulations its sounding and stumbling batteries ( Laughable Butane Bob ).
