Handysize
The Navire S of size Handysize are Vraquier S whose Port into heavy lies between 15 000 and 35 000 tons; one finds the Handymax above, and there is no class well defined below: one speaks about minis-bulkers (“mini-bulk carriers”). This category includes sometimes the Handymax , until 50 000 tons.
These ships are most widespread of the bulk carriers, with nearly 2000 units in service for a port in heavy total of 43 million tons. Very changeable, they form also the section of the oldest size of the bulk carriers, and are thus in full replacement.
