Hana Meizel
Hana Meizel ( חנהמייזל ) is an outstanding personality of the Sionisme in the field of agriculture, as an agronomist of reputation. It contributes considerably in the imposition of the role of the woman within the movement Zionist.
She is born in 1890 in Russia, and in 1901 emigrates in Palestine, at the time of the second Aliyah. Hana Meizel adheres to the party Poale Zion and studies agriculture and the natural science in Suisse and France.
She marries Eliézer Shohat, character whose activity will leave its mark in the history of the Zionism. It is it which founds in 1911 the agricultural farm of Haalamot close to Kinéret, then the school of agriculture of Nahalal in 1923.
Hana Meizel dies in 1972.
