- February 18th: Abu abd-Allah is assassinated on order of the mahdi Ubaydullah. This murder starts the revolt of part of the tribes Berbères Kharidjite S Kutama, then that of the tribes Zenâtas of Tripolitaine, hostile with the Fatimides and their allies. Ubaydullah comes to end.
- Ubayd Allah Al-Mahdi makes the conquest of the Cyrénaïque.
- the Fatimides found Al Mahdia, capital of the Ifriqiya until in 973. The city is built between 912 and 921.

Spain
- Beginning of the reign of Abd Al-Rahman III emir of Cordoue. It reconstitutes a unified State. Abd Al-rahman III will proclaim Caliph Cordoue in 929, breaking definitively with Baghdad. End of its reign in 961.

- Blooming of art Mozarab, work of the Christians under Moslem domination (end in 976).

- October 25th: Died of the king de Bourgogne Rodolphe I {{er}}, his/her son Rodolphe II succeeds to him. (End of the reign in 937).
British Isles
- a fleet Viking, probably made up of Norwegians, invades the Ireland again. Its Ingimundr chief takes again Limerick and Waterford then goes on the England and emits claims on the north of the Wales and Chester. It is pushed back.
- the town of Oxford begins its rise.
Worsen Byzantine
- May 11th: Beginning of the reign of Alexandre, Byzantine Emperor (fine in 913). Alexandre, brother of Leon VI, points out the patriarch Nicolas Mystikos. He omits to pay tribute with the Bulgares.
- Raids of the Petchenègues in Thrace.
