Hamar

Harlan Jay Ellison is an American writer of Science-fiction born the May 27th 1934 with Cleveland (Ohio). Its literary work and televisual received many prices. He wrote for the original series TV of Beyond reality and Star Trek, published the anthology of science fiction Dangereuses visions; and was consulting on the series TV The New Twilight Zone and Babylon 5 .

The most known writings of Harlan Ellison are of Science Fiction, with which it gained several prices Hugo and Nebula. It was also very active in the community of science fiction (it is one of the founder of the Cleveland Science Fiction Society and created its Fanzine then adolescent), and gives colourful conferences at the time of Convention S of science fiction. He was also vice president of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers off America in the Sixties. He does not prefer to place his work in kinds, but he uses readily the term of " fiction spéculative".

However, its writings of Fantasy are compared more with the Surréalisme or the magic Réalisme that with science fiction of the type Space operated. There is also in its work a current fort ethical, including one good half is non-fiction, including the political Activisme and the criticism of arts.

Ellison is very protective with respect to its work, and carried felt sorry for - and gained many times for " Reproduction and division of cultural products without agreement of having rights ". It uses sometimes the pseudonym of " Cordwainer Bird" (see the section " Controverses" , low).
