Hamamelidaceae

The Hamamélidacées or Hamamelidaceae is a family of plants Dicotylédone S which includes/understands 80 Espèce S divided into 25 kind S.

They are trees, or shrubs, with sheets persistent or null and void, alternate, areas moderated with tropical. The flower is regular made up of a chalice (4 to 5 sepals) and of a corolla (4 to 5 petals) distinct.

The phylogenetic Classification locates this family in the order of the Saxifragales .

Certain authors classify the Rhodoleia in a clean family, the Rhodoleiaceae , but genetic research of the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group shows that it is preferable to leave it in the Hamamelidaceae . The kind Altingia , formerly included in the family of the Hamamelidaceae , is now included in the family of the Altingiaceae .
