Hamadan

Hamadan or Hamedan همدان is a very old city. It was during a whole time the capital of the Perse under the name of Ecbatane. It is today the capital of the province of the same name in Iran.

Hamedan was a point of required passage for trade route between the Mésopotamie and the remainder of the Iran.

The tomb of Avicenne is in Hamedan.
