Halloween 5

Halloween 5 ( Halloween 5 The Revenge off Michael Myers ) is an American film carried out by Dominique Othenin-Girard, left in 1989.

Synopsis

One year after having tried to kill his/her niece Jamie Lord, Michael Myers, which was in the coma, is collected by a hermit, awakes, kills that which lodged it, and takes again its tracking. Jamy is then neat in a hospital following its aggression towards his/her adoptive mother. She was then under the control of her uncle, Michael Myers. It is this connection between them which account to use Doctor Loomis to stop the killer of Halloween. Once his way found, (because it had lost it) Jamie flees with Tina, the friend of Rachelle at the house of myers because it feels that his/her uncle comes himself to the hospital. Tina is killed on the way of course. Towards the end Jamie successful to make hesitate myers, because she said to him that it is his/her uncle and that it can cure it (similar for loomis) but michael does not change. At the end a mysterious man in black appears.

Critical reception

It is without wasting time that the producer Moustapha Akkad lance the operational startup of fifth Halloween. The intrigue is the direct continuation of the events of Halloween 4. As in good slasher which is respected, one must kill a survivor, even preferably heroin. In Halloween 5, the torch is transmitted to Elie Cornell (Rachel the half-sister of Jamie) and the young Danielle Harris. In the first part, it is Rachel which acts as principal figure. The play of hide-and-seek between it and Michael Myers is one of the sequences headlight of this fifth opus. One will note the scene in the barn where the influence of the Friday the 13th is felt, inspiring the killer with the white mask. The last part is not in withdrawal with Jamie Lord which is used as soft food, handled by Dr. Loomis who seems then ready with very to stop the sanguinary career of Myers.

Around film

The French Dominique Othenin Girard carries out this fifth Halloween in the tread of the precedent. But the film does not have discounted success. It is overall disappointing for the fans because it does not take account of the end of preceding film.
