Harold Everett Greer , born the June 26th 1936 with Huntington (Virginia-Western, E. - U.) was a professional player of Basket-ball.

Formed with the University of Marshall, it is known to have been the complement of Wilt Chamberlain with the Philadelphia 76ers, in particular during the glorious season 1967 which put an end to eight years invincibility of the Boston Celtics. Greer is regarded as third best back NBA of the Sixties, after Oscar Robertson and Jerry West. Its birthplace honoured it by naming its main street, between the campus and the downtown area, and the interstate highway Hal Greer Blvd.
