Halblech

Halblech is a small commune of Germany of Souabe (Bavaria), on the Romantic Route and the Route of the King-Louis, not far from the castles of Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein

Geography

The commune of Halbech is in the Algau.

The districts of Halblech (Ortsteil E) are, in addition to the village itself of Halblech, Bayerniederhofen, Berghof, Birnbaum, Buching, Eschenberg, Greith, Hafenfeld, Kniebis, Oberreithen, Pfefferbichl, Rauhenbichl, Schober, Trauchgau and Unterreithen.

History

The commune of Halblech belonged to the Receipt (" Rentamt") of Munich and regional court of Landsberg. It belonged since 1567 to the lords of Hohenschwangau. The current commune aparaut during the reforms of the administration of Bavaria, in 1818.

Economy and infrastructure

Halbech saw especially agriculture and of sylviculture. In 1999,121 farms 2.704 ha covered. The industry of wood comprises 13 establishments. One finds also haulage companies, construction and trade.

In 1999,96 children attended the nursery school and 255 the elementary school (12 teachers).
