Hai (zh-Hant 亥, Pinyin: hài ) is the twelfth and last terrestrial Branche of the sexagesimal Cycle Chinese, preceded by xu and followed by zi .

In Chinese astrology, hai corresponds to the sign of the pig. In the theory of the Five elements, hai is element Eau, and in the theory of the yin and the yang, of the Yin. As a Not cardinal, hai represents compared to north a direction of 330° in the direction of the needles of a watch (direction 11  H).

The month of the hai corresponds to the 10th month of the Chinese lunar calendar and the hour of the hai , or “hour of the going pig” at the period of 21 with 23  h.
